About Michelle

officephotoMichelle is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.  She is trained in both Gestalt and Spiritual Psychotherapy. For 23 years she was on the faculty at the Transformational Arts College of Spiritual and Holistic Training, primarily teaching in their Spiritual Psychotherapy Training Program.  She also enjoys her role as a case supervisor where she supports new therapists in refining their skills and launching their careers.  As a student at Transformational Arts, she studied Spiritual Psychotherapy, Spiritual Direction and Body Psychotherapy. Her time there taught her the importance of a spiritual journey which enhances our daily lives.

Michelle is also a graduate of the Gestalt Institute of Toronto, where she bridged her spiritual approach with Gestalt Therapy. What she learned through her time there was that being connected to self, others, and our environment in an authentic way is key to living a meaningful spiritual life.

Michelle is also a Certified Havening Techniques® Practitioner, also known as Amygdala Depotentiation Therapy (ADT).  This psychosensory therapy is rooted in neuroscience and is a healing tool for trauma, triggers, fears and other amygdala-based issues.

Michelle has led and co-led many groups over the years, including a sexual abuse treatment group for children, a coming-out group for lesbians and bisexual women, intensive therapy groups as well as general support groups.  More recently, she leads supervision groups for psychotherapists who are looking for additional support as well as those needing to fulfill their CRPO supervision requirements.

Michelle is a member of OSRP (Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapists)
